CITY COUNCIL-PLANNING COMMISION JOINT MEETING
1. CALL TO ORDER – The joint special meeting of the City Council- Planning Commission was called to order by Mayor John Marchand at 5:00 pm, held in person at 1016 S. Livermore Avenue and remotely using Zoom and YouTube.
2. ROLL CALL – Present: Mayor John Marchand, Vice Mayor Brittni Kiick and Council Members Ben Barrientos, Evan Branning and Robert W. Carling. Chair Daniel Leary, Vice Chair Jacob M. Anderson, Commissioners Steve Dunbar, Yolanda Fintschenko and Tracy Kronzak.
3. SPECIAL MEETING ITEM
3.1 Review local land use authority and Citywide Strategic Plan; discuss the respective roles and responsibilities of the City Council and Planning Commission.
City Manager Marianna Marysheva, City Attorney Jason Alcala, Senior Assistant City Attorney Kim Cilley, Senior Planner Jake Potter, and Community Development Director Paul Spence jointly presented the item.
Mayor Marchand opened the public comment period.
There were no speakers and the public comment period was closed.
THE CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION RECEIVED THE
PRESENTATION.
9. ADJOURNMENT – at 6:59 pm to a Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 7:00 pm, Civic Center Meeting Hall, City Council Chambers, 1016 S. Livermore Avenue and virtually using Zoom.
