Final
ly, as you know, we were extremely disappointed by the Livermore City Council’s decision last year to abandon its participation in the Pleasanton-Livermore Liaison Committee. Despite this, and in recognition of our ongoing interest to maintaining this forum for discussion or issues of mutual concern to the two cities, Mayor Balch included appointments to the Liaison Committee among this year’s regional appointments, signaling Pleasanton’s willingness to engage in these important conversations.
We look f
orward to engaging with your staff, and the City Council, as your studies proceed.

We recognized driver Hector Garcia for 33 years of

spent a good part of the meeting discussing our position on the Wiener-Arreguin bill (SB 1031) to authorize a
multi-county transportation funding -- to provide
emergency operating funding for regional transit
operators currently facing a “fiscal cliff” of operating revenue shortfalls, in order to avoid deep service cuts.
Our position is "support if amended."

7.1) Update on the Airport Land Use and
Development Study Including Next Steps Erik Sommargren The Technical Memorandum states that "action to prevent PFAS or other contamination into the water system should be undertaken, such as monitoring the use of fire foam or other chemicals containing PFAS and report such usage to the Airport Advisory Commission." While this is important, the possibility of existing PFAS contamination in the soil and water at the LVK site must also be considered before planned expansion.
According to the Regional Water Board, the City of Livermore is required to submit an additional Addendum to the PFAS Workplan by 4/28/2025. Geosyntec, the city's consultant, has 120 days from the date of the Regional Water Board's approval letter to submit a final report. The Regional Water Board has not issued an approval letter yet, so it's quite possible that the PFAS final report will not be available until sometime in fall 2025. It would be prudent for the City Council to pause LVK expansion plans until the Geosyntec final report is released. eComment
