FISCAL IMPACT
Resuming penalties and shut-off process for delinquent accounts will reduce the outstanding balance of unpaid utilities. Currently, about 100 customers are delinquent with balances over 120-days totaling about $90 thousand. Pre-pandemic unpaid balances averaged about $44 thousand which equates to 67% less than the current trend.
