I moved to Livingston in 2008 for an employn~ent opportunity. I thought it was going to be a -- short term opportunity, that I was going to move on to something bigger. However, I ended up choosing to stay, even when the employment opportunity no longer suited my needs. I had fallen in love with Livingston. I convince':!_ my husband then boyfriend to move in with me and we made Livingston our home. We have chosen Livingston to be where we raise our son. I bega looking for ways to become more involved with our city and reached out to City Hall for help.

The Recreation Dept pointed me to some volunteer work out a Shelby school, I began coaching soccer and then I applied to become a commissioner. During my term as commissioner I raised the most money to get a new backstop and Little Guys, I started the scholarship __ for _, a LHS senior, I have volunteered at every skills assesstment, participated in all the r~ changes, helped with all the recommendations to Council regarding the price increases,_ worked tiredlessly during a Color Run, Beer Tasting, taco nights and countless other events.

I work for the PRA because I know what an assest it is to have a wonderful program for our cit . I see the sense of community grow during the events or sport seasons. I think with the Ace Train, the new homes and apartments, the new Rec Center that our program can grow and become an program that sets standards for our surrounding communities.
