8. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING

PRIORITY STREETS FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICES
RECOMMENDED ACTION: 1) Adopt Resolution 2022-28; and 2) Authorize staff to release the bid for street sweeping services with the revised maps.

Director Dillon presented the staff report as per the agenda material. She noted a typo on the "B Priority-Thursday" graphic, which should have shown street sweeping on the second and fourth Thursdays, not the first and third.

Mayor Segawa asked if the Council had any questions. Council lvlember Waronek asked about grace periods for trash days. City Manager Smoot stated that some of the goals of the process to revise the schedules and routes was to reduce inconveniences like scheduling trash and street sweeping on the same day and sweeping on both sides of a street during the same time period, and the revised maps minimize that to the extent possible.

Council Member Uphoff noted that there will be other opportunities for minor changes during the process. City Manager Smoot agreed that minor adjustments maybe necessary as we go through the bid process, and ultimately as the routes are implemented.

There being no other comments or questions from the Council, Mayor Segawa asked for comments from the public.

Georgeann Wyatt, a Lomita resident, stated that the presentation had alleviated her concerns regarding changes to street sweeping on her street.

As there were no further comments from the Council or public, Mayor Segawa brought the item back to Council and asked for a motion.
