SUBJECT: Resolution Certifying the Results of the General Municipal Election Held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution No. 2024-36 reciting the fact of the General Municipal Election consolidated with the statewide general election held on November 5, 2024, declaring the results and such other matters as provided by law.
DISCUSSION
A General Municipal Election was held in the City of Lomita on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, consolidated with the Statewide General Election for the purposes of election of City Council Members from Districts 2 and 4. The County of Los Angeles Registrar of Voters has completed the canvass of the results and the appropriate Resolution has been prepared for adoption, which is attached to this report. The results are attached as Exhibit “A”.
As a result of the election, the following candidates were elected:
William D. Uphoff for City Council representing District 2 for a term of four years; and Barry M. Waite for City Council representing District 4 for a term of four years.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact.
