RECOMMENDATION
Receive and file the report.
BACKGROUND
• On November 12, 2024, the Planning Commission held a regular meeting to consider updating the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and Junior ADU ordinance to reflect Assembly Bill 2533 and Senate Bill 1211, which will take effect on January 1, 2025. The Planning Commission adopted a resolution recommending the Council approval of the updated ADU and JADU ordinance. • At the same meeting, the Planning Commission adopted a resolution recommending the Council approval of other code updates to clean up residential development standards.
• On November 25, 2024, Bryan Martinez started his first day working for the City of Lomita as Associate Planner. Bryan comes with six years of Planning experience working for the City of Victorville, City of Malibu and City of Corona.
