RE: PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN
SERVICES FOR LOMITA BLVD. MEDIANS
Dear Mr. Flores,
Lomita Boulevard is one of the main thoroughfares
in the City, upgrading the landscape to a beautiful
drought tolerant planting scheme along this
important corridor will make a positive impact on
your community. David Volz Design has developed
inspired plans for hundreds of highway corridor
improvement projects for cities throughout California.

Several of these projects have been recognized for their community defining designs and received recognition
and awards from APWA. Our design studio is currently working on important street right-of-way projects in Fontana, Indian Wells, and Anaheim. These projects include street median plantings of unique water saving landscapes that respond to the neighborhoods, and community aesthetics where they are being implemented.

The Lomita Boulevard landscape that DVD envisions is one that will provide great color and interest for the many travelers along this street. We will design medians that reflect the guidelines for street median landscapes being developed with the City Council. The enhancement landscape will include appropriate street trees, flowering shrubs and an emphasis on a greater “green” impact along this thoroughfare. Low water use plantings and new irrigation systems will be designed for each median.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to call.

Very truly yours,

DAVID VOLZ DESIGN
