RECOMMENDATION
Receive and file the report.
BACKGROUND
• The December 12, 2024, Regular Planning Commission meeting was canceled because the item preliminarily scheduled for that meeting was not ready. • During the month of December, Planning Division staff reviewed plans and held meetings for at least five pre-application requests for projects with a total of 10- 15 units.
• On December 13, 2024, after a final inspection, Planning Division staff finalized Phase 2 of a two-phase mixed used project located at 24516 Narbonne Avenue, north of Lomita Boulevard. Phase 2 consisted of a 16-unit condominium development with a total of 39 parking spaces.
• Due to the efforts of the Code Enforcement Division, another massage business was closed last month. Director and Officer hearings were held, which ultimately resulted in the revocation of the massage business certification and business license. A total of six massage businesses remains in the City.
• The upcoming WSS, located at 25829 Narbonne Avenue at the southwest corner of Narbonne Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, is scheduled to host a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on February 6, 2025 at 9 am and a Community Celebration on March 8, 2025 at 9 am.
