RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation to authorize the City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $232,362.50with a life pension thereafter of $255.11 per week subject to COLA increases in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Gregory Krabbe.
DISCUSSION:
Gregory Krabbe has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Government and Personnel Attorney Client Committee on January 18, 2022, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Gregory Krabbe, based upon a 93 percent disability rating with provision for a lifetime pension at the rate of $255.11 per week subject to COLA increases after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
SUGGESTION ACTION:
Approve recommendation.
