Dear Mr. Pisano:

Teamsters Local 848 supports the Freedom/Freight Villages regional concept design that will help solve the issues we face at the Port of Long Beach and benefit the local community and organized labor. We look forward to this innovative, environmentally friendly strategy to increase worker's salaries and provide more opportunities to recruit and train more apprentice electrical workers, locally.

The Teamsters are looking to clarify what opportunities are available to truckers to partner with IFA as this project promises to transform the economic base and the local quality of life with clean air using sustainable carbon free, zero emission logistics and helps mitigate the bottleneck at the Port.

We understand that Ed Rendon, former Teamster, now consultant with Spiker Rendon, will work with us to determine how the Local Unions can better work together so that this project can proceed forward.

Sincerely,
Eir 7ate
