Dear Mr. Pisano:

UAW-LETC fully endorses the Freedom/Freight Villages regional concept design that will transform the way business is done at the Port of Long Beach and benefit the local community and organized labor. We look forward to this innovative, environmentally friendly strategy to increase workers salaries and provide more opportunities to recruit and train more apprentice workers, locally.

As part of the coalition to implement the concept, UAW-LETC will play a central role in the development of workforce development and curriculum.

We will also look forward to working with Ed Rendon who will help us find common ground with other local unions so that this project can seamlessly move forward to benefit the greater Los Angeles community.

Looking forward to our collaboration.

Sincerely,

Laura McNeil

UAW-LETC
