RECOMMENDATION:

Increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1400 offset by $1400 of Ninth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to the following:
Neyham Neighborhood Association, in the amount of $900, African American Historical Society of Long Beach, in the amount of $500; and, Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1400 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
Discussion
Vice Mayor Richardson and would like to provide support for two Long Beach community groups:
• "Neyham Neighborhood Association" is seeking funding for the North Long Beach Master Gardeners Program
• "African American Historical Society of Long Beach" is seeking funding for Black History Month programming
Fiscal Impact
No Financial Management review was able to be conducted due to the urgency and time sensitivity of this item.
