Hello,
Looking forward to this report!
With the benefit of the slide deck in advance:
Slide 2 - still more than 25 at berth (what about those waiting to get 'at berth') mid- March?
Slides 4-5 - TEU flows do not necessarily equal value flows, let alone back to the City of Long Beach, let alone over time from a full-cost accounting perspective...
S# 8-9 - 24 hours ports bring 24 hour cities and problems therewith ... this is a "pilot" based on a historic backlog after a couple of other historic things, yes? S# 10-11 - Dwell times seem to have to have settled on a higher than average new normal, despite the fees
S# 12-20 - Waiting to compare to presentation, but please tell us all more about passenger and freight rail! Alameda Corridor could be 100% Electric and create 10,000's of union careers...
S#22 - The issue is of course how...
S#23 - Gotta compare that to 1990 levels, please
S#27 - Would love to hear more about ACE!

Ok... I will have verbal public comment after the report is given, but it is easy to imagine today's public release of the CAAP for EIR review over the next 45 days being of direct relevance, given the current opportunities for federal and state budgeting as presented in Agenda Item #2.
Real-time data that the public has every right to know would save the City of Long Beach much time, toil, trouble, treasure on the back end...
As would holding polluters accountable, at scale given their life-cycle impacts across time and space, save much more in the immediate...
Choice is pretty clear for most residents of citizen voting participation age...
Thanking you,
Dave Shukla
