Dave Shukla [email protected] "Emergency response vehicles ar e not currently mandated to comply with California or
local air district emission standards. This foam suppression system has been approved
by the FAA because it meets the current sustainability standards established for fire
control."
https://www.oshkoshairport.com/arff-trucks/striker-6x6?hsLang=en-us It's neat that this hulking machine can collect 3 years' worth of real-time foam dispenser monitoring through the Eco-EFP, but with all the accumulating (and discovered-able (sp?)) environmental and workplace safety impacts of Foam fire retardants, it does beg the question:
Do we want these Foam chemicals in the water supply? The best CARE features for this vehicle seem to be washable bench seats and flooring... ds

Dave Shukla [email protected] So... where exactly were these problems... "consisting of unknown conflicting utilities requiring design modifications, unknown roadway
material under median islands requiring additional removals and import for median landscaping
and irrigation, and the excessive deterioration of existing electrical conduit requiring the
installation of all new conduit throughout..." with our existing utilities undergrounding?
These are the new District 6 and 7 boundaries, right? So, where exactly? Western and Northern borders with Signal Hill? Along the Blue Line route?
Are these (unknowns requiring additionals) things the for profit investor owned utilities that created them are going to pay for? Which conflicted utilities -- conduit likely doesn't mean sewage or water, right? -- So... which utilities?
If they are either electric, or broadband, how does the City of Long Beach propose to protect the digital privacy rights of all these pedestrians above ground, please?

Does Stacy Mungo still live in the 5th District?
If, say, she has to vacate her seat six months early, who carries on the business of the 5th District's constituents?
--> The "business of the 5th District's constituents" starts with those decisions/actions/events that affect all of them, qua constituents, equally, and ends with those activities that only affect a single solitary one of them, in proportion to the degree that all of these affects apply to whom they apply to...Stacy Mungo should know this, but evidently the point the escapes her.
Try this:
500 votes.
500 votes in the 2018 election, and this City wouldn't have been held back in the muck of her lust for the 'cisms...
Could have had a much rational person who represents Long Beach, and not just a handful of interests in and around Lakewood... 500 votes.
Stacy Mungo has not had a mandate in the 5th District, let alone the whole City Council...
So why does the City Council tolerate her racism?

17. (22-0509) Recommendation to request City
Manager to prepare a report exploring the feasibility
of reducing the City's adult-use cannabis retail tax
rate to align with the medicinal cannabis retail tax
rate within 90 days, and submit the findings to the
Budget Oversight Committee and then the Economic
Development and Finance Committee for discussion.
Dave Shukla [email protected] How much tax revenue could this City be generating if we taxed Oil production (bbl/day) accurately?
How much time has this City devoted to understanding what the Windfall Profits of the Oil Industry have been, just over the past six months? What about since Measure US came into effect?
Does the City Manager keep a running tally of how many manhours have been devoted to these -- wait for it... wait for it... Even Too Detailed for the Shukla --- navel-gazing over the minutiae of the cannabis retail tax rate? How does that number compare to the number of hours previous iterations of the City Council devoted to trying to forestall the... um... "revenue generating opportunities" of medicinal, and then of course retail, cannabis sales in the City of Long Beach?
Could ask a couple questions about which candidates in which local races are stalking horses for which other candidates on these, and other issues, but 1000 characters goes fast, don'tchya know.

Matthew Bell [email protected] As Secretary Treasurer of UFCW loc al 324 that represents hundreds of cannabis workers in long beach we strongly support this item. The reduction of taxes at both the State and local level is critical in giving the cannabis industry the ability to support good jobs for the community. In negotiating contracts, high taxes is a constant obstacle to negotiating higher wages and benefits for cannabis workers. We ask the council to support this item.
