My name is Gabriel. It has come to my attention that the city of Long Beach is considering the removal of the parklets from 2nd Street. My wife and I drive 30 miles twice a week to enjoy the safe, fun atmosphere that your 2nd Street restaurants provide. The parklets allow my family to eat in a safely distanced environment. The parklets are vital to the prosperity of your wonderfully diverse community and is essential to Long Beach’s commitment to stopping the spread of COVID. Please resist the urge to return to business as usual until the threat of COVID is no longer.
