A RESOL UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXEC UTE A CONTRACT
AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH SIVIL
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. FOR THE USE OF A CASE
MANAGEMENT PLATFORM FOR A PERIOD OF TWO
YEARS WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR THREE
ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIODS
WHEREAS, the City of Long Beach ("City") desires to enter into an agreement with Sivil Technologies, Inc. ("Sivil") for pro bono services to allow the City to utilize its cloud-base case management platform to manage Citizen Police Complaint Commission ("CPCC") complaint investigations;
WHEREAS, Sivil is offering its platform to the City at no cost, due to staff testing its demo and providing monthly feedback since December 2020; WHEREAS, software licensing, technical assistance, upgrades and maintenance will be provided at no cost through Sivil Technologies; and 20 21
22 WHEREAS, based on CPCC and Technology and Innovation Department staffs assessment over the past two years of beta testing Sivil's software, Sivil has significant advantages over the software currently used by CPCC staff and staff desires to 23 formalize such agreement.
