A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LO NG BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A CO NTRACT
WITH THE TERMINIX INTERNATION AL COMPA NY
LIMI TED PARTNERSHIP, FOR PEST CONTROL
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, ON THE SAME TERMS AND
CONDITIONS AFFORDED TO THE UNI VERSITY OF
NEBRASKA THROUGH OM NIA PARTNERS, IN AN
ANNUAL AMOU NT NOT TO EXCEED $200,000, UNTIL THE
UNI VERSITY OF NEBRASKA CO NTRACT EXPIRES ON
APRIL 8, 2026, WITH THE OPTIO N TO RENEW FOR AS
LONG AS THE UN IVERSITY OF NEBRASK CONTRACT IS
IN EFFECT, AT THE DISCRETIO N OF THE CITY
MANAGER
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Long Beach, Section 1802, permits the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City, in writing or otherwise, without advertising for bids, for services, supplies, materials, equipment or labor, with other gover nment agencies, when authorized by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City requires pest control products and services; and WHEREAS, the University of Nebraska through Omnia Partners, has a contract with The Terminix International Company Limited Partnership for pest control products and services, Contract No. 3280-20-7210-01 ("University of Nebraska Contract"); and
WHEREAS, the City's participation in the University of Nebraska Contract will facilitate timely acquisition of the pest control products and services as well as provide 1 EWM:bg A22·02035 (06-27-2022)

1 conside rable cost benefits to the City; and
2 WHEREAS, if the City had to go to formal bid rather than participate in the 3 University of Nebraska Contract considerably more funds would be required; 4 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as 5 follows:

Section 1. The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to enter an agreement with The Terminix International Company Limited Partnership for pest control products and services, of the same kind identified in the University of Nebraska Contract in an annual amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000), until University of Nebraska Contract No. 3280-20-7210-01 expires on April 8, 2026, with the option to renew for as long as University of Nebraska Contract No. 3280-20-7210-01 is in effect, at the discretion of the City Manager.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the City Clerk shall certify the vote adopting this resolution.
