A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL MASTER AGREEMENTS,
PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENTS, FUND
EXCHANGE AGREEMENTS, RESTRICTED GRANT
AGREEMENTS, AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO,
WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation ("Caltrans") is the administrator of state and federal funds that flow to cities; and WHEREAS, acceptance and expenditure of state and federal funds generally requires the execution of a master agreement covering the City as a whole, as well as program and funding agreements specific to projects;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as 18 follows:
19 Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated 20 herein by this reference.
21 Section 2. The City is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for 22 certain transportation projects through Caltrans.
23 Section 3. Master agreements, program supplemental agreements, fund 24 exchange agreements and restricted grant agreements need to be executed with Caltrans 25 before such funds can be claimed.
26 Section 4. The City Manager of the City of Long Beach is hereby 27 authorized to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto. 28 Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption 1 VSl:bg A22-02528 (08-05-2022)
