Hi, my name is Carly Magalski and I'm a student at CSULB. Rooftop solar is the future for clean energy. Every year we are confronted with more and more effects of climate change. As a young adult, I worry about what the world will look like for myself and for my future children. I am a major nature-lover, and seeing the natural world be destroyed due to climate change is unacceptable. One of the best solutions we have to address climate change is rooftop solar energy. The current permitting process in Long Beach can often add months of delays and thousands of dollars to fairly simple, routine solar projects. SolarAPP+ would eliminate those constraints. Folks installing solar could get a permit within the same day and for free. Just imagine how many more Long Beach residents could adopt solar energy for their homes.

SolarAPP+ would help Long Beach in the fight against climate change. With more residents able to use solar energy for their homes, the amount of energy from traditional fossil fuels would decrease. That is why I am asking City Council to adopt SolarAPP+. Thank you for your time.
