RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
SECURITY SIGNAL DEVICES, INC. , TO PROVIDE
SECURITY SYSTEM SERVICES AT FACILITIES FOR
PARK, RECREATION AND MARINE DEPARTMENTS, FOR
A TOTAL ANNUAL CONTRACT NOT TO EXCEED $65,000,
AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City desires to install a security system, upgrades, and alarm monitoring services at facilities for Park, Recreation and Marine Department (“PRM”); and
WHEREAS, Security Signal Devices, Inc. of Anaheim, CA (“SSD”) is currently providing security systems services at several PRM facilities because SSD provided the lowest responsive quote for each applicable site which provides the best value for as-needed security system, and related services; and WHEREAS, SSD’s most recent contract with the City has expired, and in the interim of City developing a competitive solicitation for security system services at its facilities to obtain the best pricing and receive consistent services, City desires to execute an agreement with SSD to continue alarm monitoring, services, and notifications; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as follows:
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to enter a contract with Security Signal Devices, Inc. for the security systems services at several RES-22-0193

28 PRM facilities in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000) with the option to renew the contract, at the discretion of the City Manager.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the City Clerk shall certify the vote adopting this resolution.
