RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH APPROVING THE CREATION OF
OFFICES AND POSITIONS IN THE PERMANENT SERVICE
OF THE LONG BEACH WATER DEPARTMENT, FIXING
THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICES
AND POSITIONS, AND RESCINDING OF ALL OTHER
RESOLUTIONS OR ORDERS RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Long Beach (“Board”), adopted Resolution No. WD-1470 on August 18, 2022, and has presented to the City Council for its consideration and approval the creation of offices and positions in the permanent service of the Long Beach Water Department, the fixing of compensation for such offices and positions, and rescinding all other resolutions or orders relating thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as follows:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Subsection (3) of Section 1403 of the Charter of the City of Long Beach, the offices and positions in the permanent service of the Long Beach Water Department, the compensation fixed for such offices and employees of the Long Beach Water Department as contained in Resolution WD -1470, and the rescinding of all other resolutions or order relating thereto, are hereby approved.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward to the Board of Water Commissioners, without delay, a certified copy of this Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect on October 1, 2022 following its adoption by the City Council, and the City Clerk shall certify the vote adopting this Resolution.
