A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH APPROVING A LETTER OF
AGREEMENT WITH THE LONG BEACH MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION (LBMA) TO AMEND THE 2019 -2023 LBMA
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WHEREAS, the City of Long Beach (City) received notice from CalPERS that the Pay for Performance (PFP), which applies to eligible Long Beach Management Association (LBMA) employees, is special compensation for LBMA Classic Members and should be reported to CalERS as pensionable compensation; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 3505 the City notified LBMA of this revision and sent a Letter of Agreement for their review and consideration; and
WHEREAS, City Council approval is requested to formally approve the Letter of Agreement, amending Appendix E – Pay for Performance, to the 2019 -2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and LBMA; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as follows:
Section 1. The Letter of Agreement amending the Memorandum of Understanding with the Long Beach Management Association covering the period of October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2023, which includes Appendix E-Pay for Performance, is hereby authorized and approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the City Clerk shall certify the vote adopting this resolution. ///
