AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH AMENDING THE CALIFORNIA
STATE UNIVERSITY RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY
CENTER/VILLAGES AT CABRILLO LONG BEACH VETS
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD-31), TO BE
RENAMED TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY
RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD-31); AND REPEALING
AND REMOVING THE INCLUSION AND REFERENCE TO
“VILLAGES AT CABRILLO” (SUBAREA D) FROM SAID
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000, the City Council adopted Ordinance No.
C-7677, amending and restating the California State University Research and Technology Center/Villages at Cabrillo Long Beach Vets Planned Development (PD-31); WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its hearing on September 1, 2022, reviewed the proposed amendment to the California State University Research and Technology Center/Villages at Cabrillo Long Beach Vets Planned Development (PD-31) to repeal the Villages at Cabrillo (subarea D) and remove Villages at Cabrillo Long Beach Vets from the name of the Planned Development, and recommended the City Council adopt the same;
WHEREAS, the City Council, hereby finds that the proposed amendment to PD-31, and repeal of Villages at Cabrillo (Subarea D) will not adversely affect the character, livability or appropriate development of the surrounding properties and that the proposed amendments are consistent with the goals, objectives and provisions of the General Plan.

OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY DAWN MCINTOSH, City Attorney 411 West Ocean Boulevard, 9th Floor Long Beach, CA 90802 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach ordains as follows:
Section 1. The California State University Research and Technology Center Planned Development (PD-31) is hereby amended, restated, and adopted in its entirety as set forth in Exhibit “A” which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance by the City Council and cause it to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Long Beach, and it shall take effect on the thirty-first (31st) day after it is approved by the Mayor.
