Dear Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers,
Please vote no on Agenda Item 13: DHHS/DPREP - Ending COVID Emergency. With Biden Administration ending federal emergency funding and Governor Newsom not proceeding with the school mandate on COVID-19 vaccine, we are going to have a future problem with the pandemic coming back.
As stated by public health officials, this COVID-19 virus mutates faster than the influenza virus.
Paraphrasing Long Beach Telegram's article, we have thousands of unvaccinated children in our public school system. We have a "ticking bomb" for the COVID-19 virus to mutate and further impact our society's future.
