Subject: Comments on item 27 April 11 2023

-EXTERNAL-

City Clerk,
Please provide the following comments to the City Council.

COMMENTS

Council members,
RE: item 27 April 11 2023
The planned development at 1711 Harbor Avenue and 1515 West 17th Street that would total 4.85 acres has the potential to negatively impact the neighborhood and nearby businesses with traffic, parking, emissions and more. A negative declaration does not suffice.

If you google the term "negative declaration" the following definition is provided.

Code § 21080(c); Guidelines § 15070 et seq. (negative declaration process).) A negative declaration is a written statement that an EIR is not required because a project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment.

Please be fair to the neighborhood and require a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) before voting to approve or deny this development.

Respectfully,

Corliss Lee
