A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LONG BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, TO
ACCEPT AND EXPEND FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,2000,000 FOR THE WILLOW SPRINGS WETLAND
RESTORATION AND EXPANSION PROJECT FROM THE
SAFE, CLEAN W ATER PROGRAM’S REGIONAL
PROGRAM TRANSFER AGREEMENT NO. 2022RPLLAR03
WHEREAS, on June 9, 2020 the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved the Safe , Clean Water (SCW) Program Transfer Agreement (TA) template for the Municipal Program which will need to be executed between the City of Long Beach (“City”) and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Program is designed to maximize the ability of the City to address local stormwater and urban runoff challenges and opportunities; and WHEREAS, projects and programs are required to include a water quality benefit; multi-benefit projects and nature-based solutions are strongly encouraged; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Long Beach resolves as follows:
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Long Beach does hereby authorize the City Manager to accept and expend funding for the Willow Springs Wetland Restoration and Expansion Project from the Safe, Clean Water Program’s Regional RES-23-0051

2 Section 3. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be transmitted to the 3 County.
4 Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption 5 by the City Council, and the City Clerk shall certify the vote adopting this resolution. 6 I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council 7 of the City of Long Beach at its meeting of April 11 , 2023 by the 8 following vote:
