• Mission: to promote innovative partnerships and
community programs that prioritize the wellness of
the citizens of Long Beach.
• Our goal: to enhance the police approach to
community safety by focusing on building
relationships and avenues of communication and
outreach rather than typical enforcement activities.
• Two divisions:
• Youth and Community Engagement Division
• Collaborative Response Division

• Mission: to promote public safety by bridging the gap between the community and the police.
• We are accomplishing our mission through our
collaborative efforts with our community, non-profit
organizations, city departments, and law
enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal
levels.

• Volunteer services/internships
• Police Explorers - ages 14-20
• Mission: Promote public safety through partnerships
that acknowledge that multi-faceted challenges
require a collaborative approach and innovative
solutions.
