Dear Councilpersons and City Staff,
Pedestrians along the Redondo corridor are having difficulty passing through the stationary Street Vending sites. The vendors are uncooperative and expect the public to walk in the street when their customers are blocking the sidewalk. The large taco stand operation at 6th and Redondo is across the street from two Senior buildings and a condominium building. It is becoming difficult to walk to the grocery store. Last weekend, a flower vendor completely blocked the Redondo sidewalk at 7th St.
The safe and uncontested passage of pedestrians through these public right-of-ways is becoming a major problem.
