ear Members of the Long Beach City Council,
I
hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you as Pasha Darvishian, President of the Uptown Property and Community Association and a staunch advocate for the enhancement and growth of our vibrant community in North Long Beach.
I
am writing to support the proposed resolution to facilitate the transfer of city-owned surplus property to the Long Beach City College (LBCC). This proposal aligns with our shared vision of ensuring our city's continued growth and development, particularly in education.
O
ur association believes that developing a satellite classroom building and/or a student housing project on the surplus property would be a significant boon for LBCC students and the adjacent neighborhood. These facilities would provide valuable resources for current and future students and serve as a stimulus for local businesses and the community.
The s
urplus property in question is an asset, and its conversion into an educational facility would bring numerous benefits. It would not only enhance the accessibility of quality education for the residents of North Long Beach but also increase our community's overall value and attractiveness. Furthermore, a student housing project would provide affordable housing options for students, a critical need in our city.
The U
ptown Property and Community Association stands ready to support the City Council and LBCC in any way possible to see this project come to fruition. We can make this project a reality through collective efforts and shared vision and bring about substantial positive change in our community.
W
e trust that you will give this proposal the serious consideration it deserves. I look forward to further discussions on how to make our city a better place for everyone.
Thank
you for your time and dedication to our community.
