CalOES would like to enter into an agreement with the Fire Department (FD) to provide training and exercises for Statewide and regional opportunities. The period of performance for the Agreement shall be through April 30, 2024, with the option to extend for two (2) additional one- year periods.

On an overtime ba sis, USAR certified personnel shall conduct and participate in training for one-(1) twelve-(12) hour operational period Mobilization Exercise (MOBEX), with an additional two-(2) hours for mobilization and another two -(2) hours for demobilization. The funding provided from CalOES will be used to mobilize and deploy the City of Long Beach's (City) USAR Regional Task Force (RTF) team and to exercise the USAR RTF in a simulated natural or manmade disaster. In the event of a large scale natural or manmade disaster within Long Beach, the USAR RTF would be deployed to provide life saving measures for advanced technical rescue operations. CalOES will be invoiced by FD for the l abor costs required to execute the training exercise. Furthermore, FD is approved for a 3 percent administrative fee for processing invoices and other administrative support.
