RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation to authorizethe CityAttorneyto submit Stipulationswith Request for Award forapprovalby theWorkers'Compensation Appeals Board, and ifso approved, authorityto pay $64,380.00 incompliance withthe Appeals Board Order forSteven Fox.
DISCUSSION:
Steven Fox has made a claim for injuriesallegedlysustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Government Operations and Efficiency Committee on August 15, 2023, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulationswith Request for Award by the City and Steven Fox, based upon a 43 percentdisabilityrating,withprovisionfor lifetimemedical care as may be necessary.
SUGGESTION ACTION:
Approve recommendation.
