A Closed Session agenda has been prepared for Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 2:15 P.M.
A copy of the agenda is attached.
The following changes have been made to the City Council Agenda for the meeting of Tuesday, September 12, 2023. A revised Agenda and supporting documentation are attached .
REQUEST :
Due to the budget being adopted at the September 5, 2023 City Council meeting, the Continued Budget Hearing has been deleted from the September 12, 2023 City Council Agenda; and Agenda Item No. 22 has been withdrawn. Budget items from September 5, 2023 agenda that required a second reading are listed under Ordinances.

34.23-1074 Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $4,650 offset by the Sixth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide contributions of:
• $450 to Long Beach Camerata Singers to support an Opening Night Gala: Save the Magic on Thursday , September 21, 2023 ; • $400 to Food Chain Workers Alliance, Inc. to support their Black Job Fair on Saturday, September 16, 2023;
• $3 ,500 to Cambodia Town Inc. to support the re-establishment of Long Beach Khmer Kickboxing;
• $300 to Long Beach Forward to support their Welcome Back to School Celebration on Wednesday, August 30, 2023; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $4,650 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
