Dave Shukla [email protected] The Affordable Housi ng Units/ Very Low Income Units percentage needs to be increased in this project. 17/390 is pitifully inadequate to this City's needs, or the 3rd District's responsibility to meet those needs.
Hope you're telling folks looking to move into these new units that this corner of town may turn into a deathtrap in the event of a major earthquake or tsunami, FYI.
Beyond that, while we do need more *affordable* housing construction, balanced throughout City Council Districts, shoving multi-family housing into the margins of the 3rd District hardly qualifies -- there are a number of neighborhoods already zoned for multi-family residential / mixed use within the 3rd District that could be infilled further.
Don't expect the long-term effects of living in/around oil and gas drilling and distribution to be analyzed in a Site Plan Review under SEADIP/SEASP.

Hitu Patel [email protected] Our city’s limited-service hotels with less than 100 rooms and whose sole source of revenue is the room rate will be financially impacted by this measure. These limited- service, minority-owned, small business owners in our city, cannot afford a minimum 43% wage hike. They do not generate the revenue to justify this enormous increase. 9/19/2023

[email protected] Please proceed in moving this to ward the March 2024 ballot. Hotel workers should be able to afford to live where they work and put many hard hours in as hotels continue to make record profits. They should not be left behind as the city aims to bolster tourism through the Grow Long Beach Initiative.

[email protected] I support the Long Beach City C ouncil giving the Long Beach electorate the opportunity to vote on whether or not there should be a market pay adjustment for Long Beach hotel workers. I personally would support such a ballot measure. 9/18/2023

Dave Shukla [email protected] Yeesh ... I really want to see information on the environmental controls, water quality monitoring and standards, and overall distribution system for this so-called "pure water" -- does everyone in the City currently get the same water? 9/19/2023
