Subject: Public Comment – The Bamboo Club Entertainment Permit -EXTERNALDear Mr. Torres,
I am writing regarding The Bamboo Club's request for an entertainment permit at 3522 E. Anaheim Street.
I am a resident of East Park Villas, a 70-unit condominium community located at 3605 E. Anaheim Street, on the corner of Anaheim Street and Loma Avenue, very close to The Bamboo Club. Because of our close proximity to the business, I would like to express my concerns regarding the possible impact that increased entertainment activity may have on our residents and community.
My concerns include increased noise, additional parking congestion, and more people congregating in the surrounding residential area, particularly during the evening and late-night hours. Because our condominium community is so close to the business, I am concerned that increased entertainment 2 activity could result in additional patrons parking on or circulating through the nearby residential streets.
I am also concerned about the potential impact on the safety and security of our condominium complex, including our residents, vehicles, and property.
I understand that businesses should have the opportunity to operate successfully, and I am not opposed to responsible business activity. However, I believe it is equally important to protect the residents who live very close to these establishments.
I respectfully ask the City Council to carefully consider the impact this permit could have on the surrounding residential community. If the permit is approved, I ask that appropriate and enforceable conditions be put in place regarding hours of entertainment, noise levels, parking, security, and people congregating outside the business, with consideration given to the close proximity of the surrounding residential community.
Thank you for considering my comments and concerns.
Sincerely,
Beatriz Lacerda
