Subject: Wicked Wolf - Live Entertainment
-EXTERNALDear Mayor Rex Richardson and the Long Beach City Council, I am reaching out in support of a the Wicked Wolf, a local cocktail bar / cafe in the Wrigley Neighborhood, to host live entertainment including bands, DJs, poetry readings, and other live events.
The Wicked Wolf is a beloved community establishment with wonderful drinks, atmosphere and employees. Live entertainment would be a great draw for more customers to the business and create more exposure for the live acts as well.
While I am not local to the Wrigley neighborhood myself, I would be a more frequent visitor to the area for live events at the Wicked Wolf. I live near Roxanne’s in California Heights, and I can say firsthand that the area aƩracts more people during a live entertainment event. The energy tends to be very upbeat and posiƟve.
I understand there is a meeƟng on Tuesday October 13th to discuss this maƩer. As I will not be available to aƩend, I hope you will take this email into consideraƟon instead for your decision.
Sincerely,

-EXTERNALHello Long Beach City Council and Mayor Richardson, My name is Sara Williams and I am a Long Beach resident who is wriƟng in support of Wrigley’s Wicked Wolf in their pursuit of an entertainment license. The Wicked Wolf has become a safe haven and cultural community hub not only for the Wrigley neighborhood, but for greater Long Beach residents, seeking a creaƟve and welcoming home. The owner, Thea is deeply commiƩed to seeing our community thrive and to giving local arƟsts and creators a space to come together and share their work with the residents of Long Beach. What she has accomplished is remarkable and her sincere investment in our city and the arts is inspiring.
I know that many of the arƟsts she supports are unable to perform at the Wicked Wolf unƟl the process of her obtaining her entertainment license is complete, and this delay is leaving a tremendous void as well as causing the Wicked Wolf to lose business.
I urge you to act as quickly as possible in helping this wonderful business complete the process so we can all get back to enjoying the beauƟful creaƟve space Thea has nurtured for so long.
Thank you so much for your Ɵme and consideraƟon.

-EXTERNALTo Mayor Rex Richardson and Long Beach City Council Members:
The Wicked Wolf, a local cocktail bar and tea lounge, located at 2332 Pacific Ave, Long Beach, CA 90806, needs your final approval for their live entertainment license. They’ve since had to cancel many of their upcoming events for the remainder of the year because of the delay with getting their entertainment license approved.
I’ve lived in Wrigley since 2003 and I think that The Wicked Wolf has been a great addition to our local businesses we have here on Pacific Ave. We don’t have anything like The Wicked Wolf here in Wrigley. The owner has worked hard to create an original space for both locals and tourists to come together and enjoy a nice drink and unwind.
Live entertainment is a must for businesses like The Wicked Wolf. They get more foot traffic and most of their revenue comes from being able to host live entertainment such as live jazz bands, holding open mic nights, having DJs, etc.
I’ve had the opportunity to visit The Wicked Wolf on one occasion where they had a special theme and had a live blues band playing. It was spectacular. Not only was it my first time going to a bar alone, it was also my first time seeing a blues band live. I was so anxious but everyone there—the other patrons, the bartenders, and the singer herself—made me feel so welcome, I had forgotten why I was worried to begin with.
Please approve The Wicked Wolf’s live entertainment license so that we can continue to have a safe and welcoming space that prides art, culture, and community. Especially now more so than ever before during this stressful political climate.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will resolve this as soon as possible.
Regards,
Emily Min

Thea and George introduced themselves to us immediately aŌer acquiring the building. Allowing us to build a neighborly relaƟonship. Which we saw as a sincere gesture of integrity.
They are excepƟonal in all they have done and conƟnue to do for our neighborhood. Being mindful of the fact this area is residenƟal as well as business.
We have no doubt they will conƟnue to be mindful and considerate as they have proven all along. The entertainment license would allow them to enhance the customer experience and draw more people to the Wrigley business area. It’s a win for everyone.
As neighbors of the Wicked Wolfe, we are hopeful you will consider this email and grant them the Entertainment License they desire. We are in complete support of there request.

As an Educator, Poet, Filmmaker, and jazz singer, music at the Wicked Wolf is one of the few places to listen to and perform music
in an affordable, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere.
There are very few restaurants in Long Beach as dedicated to music and the arts as the Wicked Wolf.
Wicket Wolf, because it is a neighborhood gathering spot it is comfortable for all ages and variety of people and brings together people from diverse neighborhoods.
That the establishment is dedicated to bringing music and providing a space to not only hear it but to perform it, is much need in a city that supports professionals and students who are steeped in music classes at Cal State Long Beach and Long Beach State.
Once again, I urge you and without hesitaƟon to grant an Entertainment License to Wicked Wolf.

-EXTERNALTo the Honorable Mayor and Members of the Long Beach City Council:
Regarding: Support for The Wicked Wolf Entertainment Permit, Agenda Item 16 (26-56333) I am writing on behalf of Trademark Brewing, a locally owned and operated Long Beach brewery and hospitality business, to express our strong support for approval of The Wicked Wolf's entertainment permit at 2332 Pacific Avenue.
As fellow hospitality operators, we recognize the important role that independent businesses play in creating vibrant neighborhoods, supporting local artists and musicians, and providing welcoming spaces for our community to gather.
Long Beach benefits tremendously from establishments willing to invest in thoughtful entertainment programming. Live music and similar cultural offerings are an important part of what makes our city an attractive place to live, work, and visit. These activities also create meaningful opportunities for local performers and contribute to the broader hospitality economy.
We believe the City should encourage responsible operators seeking to enhance the cultural and social fabric of their neighborhoods. A regulatory environment that supports these businesses, while addressing legitimate public safety and neighborhood concerns, benefits the entire community.
We respectfully encourage the City Council to approve The Wicked Wolf's entertainment permit and allow this independent Long Beach business to continue contributing to our city's vibrant hospitality and arts community.
Cheers,
Sterling
