As a result, the Town’s municipal code needed to be updated to maintain the Town’s ability to regulate ADUs and JADUs in compliance with state law. The proposed ordinance before you re-adopts the same amendments to Section 13.42.270, which align the Town’s regulations with state law to enable the public to more easily understand the regulatory framework when developing ADUs and JADUs, and allow staff to more efficiently review project applications for consistency with all applicable requirements.
