MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOS ALAMITOS SPECIAL MEETING — Monday, October 24, 2022
1. CALL TO ORDER
The City Council met in Special Session at 6: 04 p. m., Monday, October 24, 2022, in the Council Chamber located at 3191 Katella Ave., Los Alamitos, CA 90720, Mayor Hasselbrink presiding.
2. ROLL CALL

Michael Daudt, City Attorney

3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
At this time, any individual in the audience may come forward to speak about any item described on the agenda prior to the Council' sconsideration of that item. Pursuant to the Brown Act Section 54954. 3 (b), remarks are limited to items described in the notice for the meeting. Remarks are to be limited to not more than three minutes per speaker.
Mayor Hasselbrink opened Oral Communications. There being no one present wishing to speak, Mayor Hasselbrink closed Oral Communications.
4. SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY
A. Interview Applicants for the City Council Vacancy ( Administration) The City Council will be interviewing candidates and making an appointment to fill the current City Council vacancy in District 2. The term will end November 2024.
Mayor Hasselbrink introduced the item.
Council interviewed candidates in the following alphabetical order: Gary Loe, Trisha Murphy; and, Daniel Patz.

Upon receipt of the forms, she stated there were 2 Indications of Support for Daniel Patz and 2 Indications of Support for Trisha Murphy.
Mayor Hasselbrink requested Council reconsider.
City Clerk Quintanar stated there was no change with 2 Indications of Support for Daniel Patz and 2 Indications of support for Trisha Murphy.
Motion/ Second: Hasselbrink/ Doby
Carried 3/ 1: The City Council appointed Trisha Murphy to fill the current Council vacancy in District 2 by roll call vote; and, directed the City Clerk to issue the Oath of Office.
City Clerk Quintanar administered the Oath of Office for Trisha Murphy.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council adjourned at 6: 47 p. m.
