Re our city manager’s performance review.
Gabe Engeland is far and away the best city manager we’ve had in the 15 years I’ve lived in Los Altos. He’s accessible. He listens to residents and responds to emails, phone calls and requests for meetings. He brings integrity to the job – an essential quality that has been missing in the past. He’s discovered and corrected serious problems in our financials. He’s hired good people like Nick Zornes, who has led us to state approval of our Housing Element.
Gabe deserves our respect and appropriate compensation for the positive changes he’s made in our city.
