JVAC minutes September 30, 2024

Call to Order at 7:00 p.m.
Dennis Young was the only member of the public present.
Minutes from the August 5th meeting were distributed. Moved to approve by Ben.
Seconded by Sumita. Motion passed.
Update on membership: Laurel has resigned, so we currently have 2 open positions in Los Altos and one in Los Altos Hills.
Review Job Responsibilities - all members who were present were aware of their responsibilities and are up to date on fulfilling them.
Speaker at the event will still be Adin Miller, former CEO of the LAMV Community Foundation.
Ask Lindsay to share the costs of the catering and the rentals ASAP so that we can work out the pricing for the event.
The Treasurer reported no change in the bank account. We have not received checks from either city.
Sumita will make any changes that she is asked to do to the website before noon tomorrow. When the winners are selected and the ticketing is finalized, she will add that to the website in late October.
Sandy made a motion on whether we should use Eventbrite again this year, despite the cost in fees. Seconded by Rebecca. Eventbrite has been the registration website for at least 3 years. After some discussion about how we would manually do the payments versus using a service, a vote was held and the motion passed.
Would we be okay with KMVT coming to record some of the event? Yes, everyone agreed that's fine.
Next meeting on October 21. Then meetings scheduled on November 4th and 25th.
