CALL MEETING TO ORDER – Sally Meadows, Mayor, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
ESTABLISH QUORUM – All Councilmembers were present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Sally Meadows, Mayor, led the Pledge of Allegiance.
REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION
There was no Closed Session meeting on May 12, 2026.
CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the agenda order.
SPECIAL ITEM
Issue Proclamation Recognizing May 2026 as Affordable Housing Month Sally Meadows, Mayor, presented the proclamation to Cory Wolbach, Silicon Valley at Home Representative

CONSENT CALENDAR
Motion by Lang and Second by Meadows to approve the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.
1. Approval of Meeting Minutes – Draft Regular Meeting of April 28, 2026
2. Adoption of Resolution — Authorizing the increase of Solid Waste Collection Rates by 4.9041%
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the increase of Solid Waste Collection Rates by 4.9041%, effective July 1, 2026
3. Adoption of Resolution - Purchase of two Parks Maintenance Vehicles Adopt a resolution to approve the purchase of two Parks Maintenance vehicles. One ETransit Van for the irrigation crew and one dump-bed truck for general park material transport

4. Review of Contributions - Non-Profit and Civic Organizations Review non-profit and civic organization contribution applications and direct staff to incorporate funding into the budget for FY 26-27
The City Council asked representatives from organizations with representatives present to discuss their request for funding:
• Maddy McBirney and Karen Zucker – Arts Los Altos
• Mary Gloner and Amy Gibson – CASSY
• Jan McDaniel – Compassion Week
• Abi Karlin-Resnick and Amy Gibson– Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation Summit
Motion by Lang and Second by Dailey to approve funding to Arts Los Altos, in the amount of $45,000. Motion failed due to a tie vote, with Councilmember Dailey and Vice Mayor Lang voting in favor; Councilmember Weinberg and Mayor Meadows opposed.
Motion by Lang and Second by Meadows to approve funding to CASSY, in the amount of $10,000. Motion failed by roll call vote, with Councilmember Lang in favor, and Councilmember Dailey, Councilmember Weinberg, and Mayor Meadows opposed.
Motion by Lang and Second by Dailey to approve funding for Compassion Week, in the amount of $5,500. Motion failed due to a tie vote, with Councilmember Dailey and Vice Mayor Lang voting in favor; Councilmember Weinberg and Mayor Meadows opposed.
Motion by Lang and Second by Meadows to approve funding for the Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation Summit, in the amount of $10,000. Motion carried 3-1 by roll call vote, with Councilmember Weinberg opposed.
The City Council did not make a motion to approve funding for Live Oak Adult Day Services.
The City Council did not make a motion to approve funding for Loved Twice.
COUNCIL/STAFF REPORTS AND DIRECTIONS ON FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS • Pete Dailey, Councilmember – Requested a future agenda item:
o Discussion regarding the process for grant funding issuance (Request withdrawn) ADJOURNMENT – The regular meeting adjourned at 8:59 p.m.
