2 building permit fee revenue in FY’26 suggests that the cost study will justify increasing permit fees by more than 50%, which seems excessive compared to similar cities or what should be required spending in an eƯicient building department.
As has become the practice, the Sewer Fund Budget summary contains insuƯicient discussion of the status and condition of the sewer system and the necessary future capital spending. Additional capital costs for upgrading thePARWQCP should not carry over into the 50% markup to the treatment bill intended to cover the cost of conveyance pipe maintenance and replacement paid to LA and PA. Workplan currently does not include Town Hall Expansion eƯort.
Hope you find this summary helpful. My apologies for not being able to attend tonight’s meeting.
Thank you.
Best,
Allan

The Honorable Stanley Q. Mok
Mayor of the Town of Los Altos Hills
26379 Fremont Road
Los Altos Hills, CA 94022
Dear Mayor Mok and Members of the Los Altos Hills Town Council, Counseling and Support Services for Youth (CASSY), a nonprofit agency that partners with local schools to provide professional, on-campus mental health services to students free of charge, has just been named Nonprofit of the Year by District 28 Assemblymember Gail Pellerin. Since 2009, CASSY has shown how effective and powerful school-based counseling can be, integrating mental health support into the fabric of each school to reach students in a familiar, safe environment. Our mission is to destigmatize mental health services and make supporting students’ social and emotional well-being the norm in our local schools.
This is a wonderful honor for us, and we wanted to share it with you. Particularly because we have been selected to continue the work CHAC began at the Mountain View Los Altos High School District and will now be supporting the mental health of your students. The annual California Nonprofit of the Year initiative is an opportunity to celebrate the government-nonprofit partnerships that support our economies and our communities.
CASSY has been changing lives for the past fifteen years, and with this honor and your support, we are optimistic for the next fifteen. We are a community-based organization, and we could not do this transformational work without you. Would you consider redirecting the funds you traditionally grant to CHAC to CASSY instead? Your partnership and support would allow us to make a tangible difference in young lives together.
In community,
Marico Sayoc
