Present: Mayor Stanley Q. Mok, Council Member Linda Swan, Council Member George Tyson, Council Member Kavita Tankha
Absent: Vice Mayor Lisa Schmidt
Staff: City Manager Peter Pirnejad, City Attorney Steve Mattas, City Clerk Arika Birdsong-Miller, Assistant to the City Manager Cody Einfalt, Interim Community Development Director Jay Bradford, Public Works Director WooJae Kim, and Finance Director Thomas Leung
1. CALL TO ORDER (1:00 P.M.)
Mayor Mok called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL
Mayor Stanley Q. Mok, Council Member Linda Swan, Council Member George Tyson, Council Member Kavita Tankha were present. Council Member Linda Swan participated virtually from 8216 E. Orange Blossom Lane, Scottsdale, AZ 85250.
Vice Mayor Lisa Schmidt was absent.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT (Public Comment is Limited to Items which are the Subject of the Special Meeting)
There were no Public Comments.
4. NEW BUSINESS
Consideration of a Resolution Canceling the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election and Appointing the Nominated Candidates to the Los Altos Hills City Council (Staff: A. Miller)
City Clerk Arika Miller stated that at the June 20, 2024, City Council meeting, the Council adopted Resolution 30-24 calling for the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election and requested that the Town consolidate with the Statewide General Election. nomination period ran from July 15, 2024, through August 14, 2024. At the close of the nomination period, Rajiv Bhateja, Stanley Q. Mok, and Linda G. Swan had been nominated.
Council Member Tyson made a motion to Approve the Resolution of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills Canceling the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election and Appointing the Nominated Candidates: Rajiv Bhateja, Stanley Q. Mok, and Linda G. Swan to the Los Altos Hills City Council for a four-year term. Council Member Tanhka seconded the motion.

AYES: Mok, Swan, Tankha, Tyson
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
RECUSE: None
ABSENT: Schmidt

The meeting was adjourned at 1:04 PM.
