Subject: FOR PUBLIC COMMENT- Request to amend the Housing Element Dear Mayor Tankha and members of the City Council,
As Planning Commissioner Birgitta Indaco suggested during the January 7, 2025, Special City Council meeting, the Planning Commission should draft the language for the town’s request to amend the Housing Element with respect to the maximum number of units allowed for the Twin Oaks/Arastradero project. This request for amendment should then go to the City Council for final approval.

The request to amend the town’s Housing Element is essential because the version of the Housing Element submitted to HCD (Department of Housing and Community Development) was not what the Planning Commission, the City Council or the public approved.

Subject: FOR PUBLIC COMMENT-Twin Oaks
There appears an imminent disaster in our neighborhood. A massive development at Twin Oaks, uƩerly disrupƟng traffic flow, jarringly changing the character of our town, surely cannot be accepted as inevitable. Please allow ciƟzen input and Planning Commission wisdom to miƟgate and mediate that which may be necessary—but not totally out of bounds.

Subject: FOR PUBLIC COMMENT - Item 3 - Housing Element Amendment I strongly urge the City Council to submit an Amendment to the current Housing Element proposal. Please do whatever is necessary to keep the number of housing units in the Twin Oaks project to an absolute minimum to comply with state guidelines! This location, off Arastradero Road, is a key artery for residents living along the Purissima Road area to reach 280.

It is also a key route for those on the Page Mill Road to reach Los Altos and Palo Alto.

In addition, it provides emergency access in the event of fire or earthquake disasters. It cannot support the addition of hundreds of additional vehicles.

In addition, the terrain is steep, and subject to landslides in rainy weather.

Please take whatever steps are necessary for the Town to submit an amendment to its existing Housing Element!
Thank you!
