Present: Mayor Kavita Tankha, Vice Mayor Rajiv Bhateja, Council Member Stanley Mok.
Council Member Linda Swan, and Council Member George Tyson
Absent: None
Staff: Acting City Manager Cody Einfalt, Community Development Director Jay Bradford, Public Works Director Jay Bradford, Finance Director Thomas Leung, and City Clerk Arika Birdsong-Miller
CALL TO ORDER (1:00 P.M.)
Mayor Tankha called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M.
1. ROLL CALL
Mayor Kavita Tankha, Vice Mayor Rajiv Bhateja, Council Member Stanley Mok, Council Member Linda Swan, and Council Member George Tyson were present.
2. PUBLIC COMMENT (Public Comment is Limited to Items which are the Subject of the Special Meeting)
There were no public comments.
3. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING:
A. Public Employee/Public Employee Appointment
(Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957(b)(1))
Title: City Manager
4. OPEN SESSION
A. Award of a Contract for City Manager Recruitment Consultant.
Following discussion in Closed Session, the City Council, upon return to Open Session, approved the award of a contract with Ralph Anderson & Associates for City Manager recruitment services in an amount not to exceed $30,000.
Council Member Tyson made the motion to approve the award of a contract with Ralph Anderson & Associates for City Manager recruitment services in an amount not to exceed $30,000. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Bhateja. Approved, Vote: 5-0.
