Subject: City Council Meeting 3/6/24 - Question and comments for upcoming council meetings. RE:
Hospital.
Hello good morning. I will be attending the meeting but over YouTube broadcast.
I bring to you today to concern that should also be considered just as important as the police department and fire department. I am very happy to see the town and the establishment of the new police department and the renovations are coming up. Also for the upcoming fire department funds.
I am excited to know that there will be a much better acknowledgment of the first responders and of law enforcement. We must not forget in order for the police department and fire department also to essentially do their life-saving procedures we must also focus on the fact of a more efficient hospital For the town. The amount of life-threatening situations have happened within the hospital because of lack of staff or or equipment that the patient must be airlifted out in order to save their lives because we cannot do so within our own hospital. That is a very known fact I can happen in other towns we are aware , but as our town grows, I do believe that in efficient emergency room in the hospital should also be taken into consideration . Not only will it increase the safety of saving lives in our town, but can also potentially open up more work opportunities. Not just for the people here but also for the surrounding smaller towns.
Thank you, for your time.
Sincerely,
Araceli Alvarez
