Good Evening Council:
I am not able to attend in person this evening, I have a question I would like to get some follow up on, although it is not an item on tonight's meeting agenda.
I attended a town hall style meeting at the Rancho Los Banos Mobile Home park on March 1st, hosted by Adam Conover (sp?) project manager for the One Tree Tiny Homes Village. I was invited to attend by the on-site manager of the mobile home park, Mrs. Chandra Lewis.
During the presentation, Mayor Amabile had informed the group in attendance that he has arranged or in the process of arranging, for 60 unhoused people currently residing at the G Street encampment to be re-established in Sacramento at a shelter-type facility there.
My question is did that or will that take place in the near future? Since Los Banos currently does not have adequate sheltering, as displayed at the current encampment situation, this would benefit those being relocated as well as easing the burden on the G St. site.
