Good Evening Council:
The following letter has been submitted for public view to tonight’s agenda packet.
I am Kelsey Daguerre, and I serve as an Accounting Clerk in the Finance Department of our City. I am also pleased to announce that I am the newly elected President of our Union’s Public Works/Miscellaneous Employees unit.
We find ourselves in a very positive place now that our Union has ratified a four-year contract. The long stretch of negotiations was not easy but resulted in the contract that is presented for your approval this evening. Our Union is feeling that together, we have a way forward with mutual respect existing between us and our City Manager, and you, our elected officials. So it is my great pleasure to share a “thank you” for your partnership and leadership and to let you know that our members are feeling a renewed spirit to do the work that makes our City run with effectiveness and efficiency.
A huge thank you to the city negotiations team as well! They showed perseverance and hard work during the negotiations process and we appreciate their efforts.
