Re: Parking Configuration Recommendation for 836-848 | Street Corridor City Council Meeting - July 1, 2026, 6:00 PM
Dear Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Members of the Los Banos City Council:
I am the owner and landlord of what is commonly referred to as the "Bank Building" in downtown Los Banos, located at 836-848 | Street. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the City Council meeting scheduled for July 1, 2026, but am grateful for the chance to express my opinion regarding the proposed parking management plan that affects the building's frontage.
After reviewing the parking needs of tenants, visitors, City departments, and the public, I respectfully request that the City Council consider the following parking configuration for the frontage serving the 836-848 | Street offices:
1. Keep two (2) spaces designated for 15-minute parking in front of the San Luis Delta Mendota Water Authority's offices to accommodate customers conducting brief business transactions.
2. Convert two (2) 15-minute spaces to 2-hour spaces to provide a better mix for office and commercial transactions.
3. Keep the two (2) existing ADA/Handicapped parking spaces.
4. Keep all existing parking regulations and designations unchanged along the | Street side of the property.
Thank you for your consideration of these comments. I respectfully request that this letter be included in the record for the July 1, 2026 City Council meeting and considered during discussions regarding parking management for the 836-848 | Street area.
Should additional information be needed, I would be pleased to discuss the matter with City staff.
