Greetings Mayor and City Council of Los Banos, California, My name is Andrew and I'm a local citizen who has been living in Los Banos for 2 years.
I live in District 1 of Los Banos on Cabernet Street.
I moved here because I wanted to start a family in a nice and safe community.
Cabernet Street and nearby roads within the Vineyard tract of homes are treated like dragstrips by cars and motorcycles.
I watched from my window as my father-in-law was nearly hit by one of these speeding cars as he attempted to enter his car which was parked on the street.
The roads need to have speeding bumps installed to halt "stop sign to stop sign racing".
These vehicles are not only a physical danger but also a noise issue as my new born daughter is frequently awakened by loud cars roaring down the street which results in crying and sleepless nights.
All of this is making me consider selling my home and moving somewhere safer and quieter to raise my daughter.
